Sony VAIO VPC-W211AX/P 10-Inch Pink Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life Review

This is the newest model (W211AX) of Sony’s Netbooks and has a extended battery life. While others may complain of the battery- I like the fact that it elevates the netbook up towards you. Depending on the surfing you do- you may have a bit less battery life than advertised. I ordered the pink Vaio and couldn’t be more pleased. It was everything I expected it to be and then some. The Track pad is reasonably sized and much larger than most. The screen clarity is amazing. My only complaint is where the speakers are situated for the volume. I simply resolved this issue on my own and use my ipod head phones when listening to sound. To the lower right of screen you may also adjust zoom level. Your options are 100, 125, and 150. If you do increase the zoom level- You do loose a bit of viewing and must scroll from side to side. The keyboard buttons are a bit elevated and makes it easier for typing. The only other downfall that I could say would be that the netbook only comes with Windows 7 Starter. With this program starter version you are unable to change desktop background. Bummer… I love that I can install my SD card and download my photos too. Perfect for web surfing, downloading pics, typing, emails, etc.

I love my netbook. E 'light, easy to use and cute. I love the battery life. The battery works as promised.

I can not believe they did such a sound card in this terrible machine otherwise great. I turned off at all (I could not hear any case from the bottom of the computer). It is so terrible that I just pretend that your computer has no sound.

I like to have included the web-cam, but no sound, all the fun things of technology, I could do on the Internet is useless.

I bought this as a conditional gift for my 3 years in games nickjr, but only if you stay in bed all night 5 days in a row. Has not so far, then gave me the opportunity to use this netbook a decent amount. I must say I'm impressed so far. I added 2 GB memory upgrade, I have MS Office, I bought the matching Toshiba external DVD, and I'm running anti-virus software. I like to use my VAIO laptop, and so far has worked perfectly without inertia ot stutter. It 'so light and easy to carry, and the battery lasts a long time, even after watching 2 DVDs. Visit Toshiba's website and download the new audio driver, which increases the volume a bit '. The speakers are not great, but certainly enough to watch a movie or listening to music in a tranquil environment. I begin to hope that my daughter is still to come in our bed at night, so I can continue to use this netbook!

The way Nvidia accelerates web browsing, Flash, HD video decoding, HD video streaming from the Internet and much more. I was very impressed today, I had interviews with the Nvidia executives and engineers, they are a tremendous amount of confidence in its Tegra ARM implementation, even if the actual demonstrations of the technology, Tegra is not using the latest ARMCortex 4x faster processor, the ARM11 is for things like a browser, compared to that! Nvidia is the processing of many things from your browser with the GPU! Can you believe it? Rendering of the browser content, scrolling, font anti-aliasing, image rendering, Flash animations, Flash videos, are taken to ensure the NVIDIA GPU! Look for my videos of all that is now uploaded and movies over the next two or three days.

I just received my Acer One as a gift last week. I think I'm in love. This little guy "can do almost all my full size laptop can do. It 'came with a free trial version of Microsoft Office, but I downloaded [...] of mine. I also downloaded Mozilla Firefox and I noticed no change in speed.

I did some traveling and loves to find a Starbucks or Barnes and Noble have my coffee and have a working computer. I also do research on the Internet [...] so I had to download any special plug-ins and everything worked perfectly.

My netbook just arrived today, and so far I like it. My old laptop with a battery of 12 cells, and weighed a ton, so for me it is a fantastic change, a change that was necessary, as an undergraduate, which is often carried out 1-2 books, notebooks, calculator, etc. My only complaint true measure backspace. Still the + / = key place. I am sure that you get used to, but.

If you are looking for a netbook with reliable performance and battery life impressive and large, look no further. Even with 1 GB of RAM (although I am considering and recommending a little 'more than 2 GB is the way forward) this thing works very well when you use Microsoft Office, web browsing, downloading files, and watch videos via web or a storage device. GREAT JOB!

This notebook is ideal for travel. The handset is small and light enough to go with me all over the world. Has a lot of storage space. The process is fast enough for viewing pictures and users of Skype. The seller is also great. I ordered this from the Middle East and got here in less than a week. I like the color (baby pink) as well.

Amazing quality finish. Battery life exceeded my expectations, between 8 and 11 hours and no lost charge when off.
Excellent keyboard. Snappy performance. Nice matt screen.
2 downs are touchpad could have been slightly bigger, and screen res could have been 768 high instead of 600. Otherwise everything else is perfect.
