Amazing quality finish. Battery life exceeded my expectations, between 8 and 11 hours and no lost charge when off.
Excellent keyboard. Snappy performance. Nice matt screen.
2 downs are touchpad could have been slightly bigger, and screen res could have been 768 high instead of 600. Otherwise everything else is perfect.

Acer AOD250-1515 10.1-Inch White Netbook - Up to 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

This is a nice little netbook with ample battery life, giving you freedom to roam around. I bought this item for my wife to replace an aging HP nc4010 that had served us well. My wife loves this thing, it is snappy for all her purposes, which is mostly browsing the web. The integrated webcam is great, and it works great for video calls over skype. I took one star of the rating, because the machine only comes with 1 Gb of memory, whereas 2 Gb are needed if you want to open more than a couple of programs at a time.

View the boot-up times of Google Chrome OS, Windows 7, and Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9:10. Chrome OS is the fastest by far, although I noted that Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10 are not properly installed, it can be faster. Moreover Chrome OS is running away from a USB flash drive. I’ve owned this sweet computer for about 2 months now. I bought it initially because I coach a High School Varsity Debate team, and we needed portable research ability at a reasonable price. It is now my constant companion. The battery life is amazing, the picture quality is awesome, and it functions at excellent speed. I had no trouble adjusting to Windows 7, most of the features are intuitive if you have ever used any other Windows system. I have a Verizon wireless card, and have connected in such out of the way places as the beach, a high school cafeteria in a rural area, and hotels with no wireless service. It is capable of running multiple functions with ease, and is light weight and so portable. Love it.

Gateway LT2032u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Over 7 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

I’ve had the Gateway LT2030u for three weeks and am thoroughly enjoying it. I have a full sized computer with all its bells and whistles in a home office and now use it only to update several web sites I maintain and to type and/or print lengthy documents. The Gateway LT2030u had allowed me to go “green” in that it consumes very little energy as compared to my full sized computer and peripherals, plus office heating and lighting. I can use the Gateway anywhere in the house, or for that matter, anywhere on my property.

I purchased this mainly to pay bills and search the web. It is nice and light and easy to carry. The front cover is glossy and scratches easy so you may want a cover. The color is Mauve one review said it was pink but the only pink I see is inside by the keyboard and it is a small amount. I am dissapointed in the windows 7 because they have installeda starter verson that doesn’t let you do any customizing you have to upgrade in order to do this . Upgrade is another 79.99. You can not change the wallpapers with out this upgrade and they only provide one. I think it would be better if they made this was more up front . I’m thinking about sending mine back for this reason and return it for a small laptop that has the full windows 7 version.
